On arrival, and after collecting your baggage, please proceed to the exit gate you will be met by our driver who will transfer you to the 2 star Ibis HotelAugsburg Beim Hauptbahnhof. (www.ibishotels.com). As the name implies, this comfortable tourist class hotel, part of the famous ACCOR group, is located next to the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof). (The rail journey time to Messe Munich is 1hour, with one change in Munich. The current return rail fare on an ICE train is EU32. Please see note at foot of itinerary concerning transfers)
The hotel offers 132 rooms including 2 with wheelchair accessibility, all with private facilities.
The Old Town, or Altstadt where much of the local activities take place is only 1 km away.
Buffet breakfast is served from 04h00 as is included in the cost of the tour.

Due to the constant fluctuation of Airport departure taxes and Fuel surcharges these have been excluded from our tour cost. At the time of preparing this tour taxes and surcharges were approximately R4200.00 per ticket. The exact amount will be added to the final invoice when tour balance is due, usually 6 weeks before departure.

  • Passengers wishing to stop over in London on the return, may do so at no extra cost other than UK departure tax (subject to minimum of 20% of group)

N.B. No refunds given to passengers not utilizing airport transfers

The city of Augsburg is located 60 kms Northwest of Munich. There is a frequent rail service from Augsburg Hauptbahnhof, (where the Ibis Hotel is located) to Messe Munich with both Rapide as well as ICE trains. The current return rail fare each day is EU32, and it may be possible to purchase a weekly return ticket for the duration of your stay at far cheaper than EU32 x 4 days.

Included in the tour cost is a one way transfer on arrival to the hotel. We have negotiated with a local transfer company for a quote to arrange all transfers. This would mean that we may be able to arrange daily return transfers to the fairgrounds ( Messe)on the 19th, 20th & 21st April, plus a transfer from hotel to Messe on 22nd, then a final transfer in the afternoon from Messe to the airport in time for check in for return flight.

The total cost for all these transfers would be ZAR 2450 pp, based on a minimum of 7 passengers per vehicle.



Bookings close on the 10th March 2010. Due to severe demand for hotel accommodation all unsold rooms will be released back to the agent/hotel. Reservations after this date will be requested on an adhoc basis, and will incur a late booking fee of R250 per reservation whether confirmed or not, and must be paid in advance. No reservation will be confirmed until a completed booking form and a deposit of R2000 is received by Trade Fair Travel

Exchange Rate prevailing at 17th June 2009 final tour costs will be recalculated when balance due.
